Hockey Game

Provider, EMT

I am available for weekends and occasional evenings. I absolutely adore taking care of children and helping them grow as tiny humans. I worked at the Primrose Preschools for three years and adored it. I have also looked after kids in a less formal setting, sitting for different families over the years. I worked as a live-in nanny for a family with 8 and 10 year old girls in Erie, CO.

During my time at Primrose, I predominantly worked as a co-teacher in the age two classrooms with children who are not yet potty training. I also worked as a "float" in different classrooms including ages 1-3 and the infant classes. I have experience with younger infants as young as 3 months, and am comfortable with diapering, naps, bottle feeding etc.

I am an EMT (nationally registered) and have pediatric emergency response experience with all ages.

More fun facts about me...I am Colorado born and raised. I love doing anything outside, skiing, hiking, fishing. I played ice hockey growing up and love the game. I have a degree in integrated physiology from CU and love all things that have to do with health and wellness.

“I was Emera’s supervisor and her charge nurse at a hospital in Longmont for two years. She worked in our ER, a very fast pace high stress environment, and I had many opportunities to witness her care and competence with pediatric patients. She also babysat for my daughter who was 10-11 years old during that time. Emera is wonderful. Always on time and reliable, and a happy, kind empathetic person. I loved working with her and I would absolutely recommend her.” - Semsji C.

  • “I was the lead teacher with Primrose School where Emera worked as my co-teacher in my older toddler classroom (age two, not yet potty trained). She was also a float in other classrooms. Emera is very calm, creates a relaxed atmosphere and communicates well with parents. She makes a personal connection and fosters trust. Every child gravitates towards her. She is really good at being fun and active while supervising. For example, at the end of the day kids need to line up for parent pickup and they are tired, loopy and excited. Emera would play games with them to keep them focused and engaged in line, such as taking turns pretending to be a favorite animal. Emera is a joy to have, pleasant, consistent, on time and prepared. She is also super helpful and I never felt awkward at all asking her to complete a task. I think that would be very helpful for parents as well.” - Emma A.
