Provider, Early Childhood Teacher

I am an energetic and creative individual with over sixteen years of experience working with and teaching children. I have a degree in speech communications, an Early Childhood Teacher qualification to teach preschool in Colorado, and a certificate to work with at-risk youth. I worked at a preschool and kindergarten from 2008 to 2014, as well as Waldorf preschool from 2015 to 2017. I have also led a play-based preschool pod, offering experiential learning with emphasis on the arts and social emotional learning.

I have experience with children of all ages including infants through teens, including twins. I am completely comfortable with all age groups. I am also very comfortable in the water with children, from years of living in Hawaii and taking children swimming as well as introducing them to the ocean! I have also worked in special needs classrooms, and have experience with multiple types of special needs. I am a quick learner, have strong attention to detail, and enjoy connecting with families. In addition to children's care, I also manage household support tasks including dishes, laundry, mail, errands, light housekeeping, light pet care, tidying outdoor spaces, organizing garage areas, completing preparations and packing for family trips, and staying on top of the trash/compost/recycling schedule.

More fun facts about me... I love art and being outdoors. I’m active and love all sports as well as hiking and camping. I also really enjoy yoga, reading and singing.

"Let me start by saying that Kerry is the absolute best. We were so lucky to find her when we relocated to Colorado. We have twins who are now almost 4 and were 2 when we met Kerry. She has this amazing way with children, teaching, playing, providing structure and guidance in a way that made my children feel so valued. She has incredible energy and she is so organized. She is so punctual, so professional. And moreover she is just wonderful to be around as a parent! Very easy to work with, very supportive and open to working with parents on their goals for their childrenwould absolutely recommend her to any parent without any hesitation." - Whitney P.

"Kerry is absolutely fabulous! Professional, communicative, and connected with our 2 year old daughter even over an initial zoom call interview! Kerry was our first caregiver through Babysitters of Boulder and we keep saying to each other we should have called the group sooner! Thank you for sending such a wonderful person." - Federica L.
