Provider

Hello all! I'm Lexi. I am a lover of all things - nature, dogs, winter sports, coffee, and people and most highly on my list, children! I have a passion for watching children grow, learn, and explore. I've had years of experience with all ages from newborn to teen, including multiple children at one time. I've also cared for children with special needs, hearing loss, and speech disorders.

I hold a Bachelors's degree from the University of Arkansas in Communication Science and Disorders with a minor in Human Development and Family Sciences. I will be starting my Master's degree in August of 2022 at the University of Colorado Boulder in Speech-Language Pathology. From my education, I have a strong sense of knowledge in child development, language development, and social communication. My experiences include; Nanny/ babysitter (5 years) Registered Behavior Technician (4 months) MentorMe Volunteer (1 year) Activity Waterfront Counselor and Camp Counselor (Summer 2019, 2018) Elementary School Teacher Aid (9 months) Volunteer Literacy Program (9 months)

I pride myself on the variety of skills I've gained through my diverse childcare experiences. In particular, as a camp counselor at camps across the United States, I gained a childcare philosophy that focuses on "being yourself, developing independence, having fun, exploring your surroundings, and trying new things" while being in a nurturing, safe environment.

Other fun facts about me...I'm an outdoor enthusiast, water lover, and Arkansas Razorback fan. I love to be "doing" and staying active!

WHAT PARENTS and EMPLOYERS SAY

“Lexi cares for my daughter 5 mornings/week M-F. She was about 4 months at the time we started with Lexi in September 2021. Lexi handles bottle feeding, diapering, stroller walks, play and naps. She is also very helpful on the days my daughter is teething. She is reliable, on time and follows through with the work schedule as planned. A parent be very lucky to have their child spend time with Lexi. She improves my daughter’s day, every day, helping her grow and having fun along the way. We were very lucky to get connected with her.” - Lauren T.

  • “We love Lexi so much it made us so sad when she moved to Colorado (we live in Arkansas). She started with us when my kids were around 3 and 5 (they are 7 and 9 now) and cared for them as a regular sitter for 4 years. She was a great example for my kids and a very responsible person in general. She is also really good at just being adventurous and having fun with kids. She was the best babysitter for my active kids because they always did dance parties, and played outside, being active with them and not spending a lot of time in front of a TV or anything like that. Her career choice as a speech therapist for children is also perfect for her, she is very dedicated and very patient. We haven’t ever quite found someone like her and any family would be lucky to have her.” - Kristin K.
