MEET ROBYN
Provider
In addition to 30 years' experience raising my children, I have seven years paid experience working as a career childcare provider in a school setting, daycare and as a nanny. I love taking care of babies and small children. It's a joy to watch them progress from learning to hold up their head, reaching out and grasping things, to sitting, crawling, walking and discovering the world around them. I believe children should be treated like people who have feelings, needs and desires, and I give the respect they deserve. I treat these wonderful little beings like they were my own children, and though I won't be in their lives for the long term, I'm willing to take on the sorrow of parting when they move on to their next stage of life because I know I've given them the care they needed while I was with them.
From 2019 to 2021, I nannied for children from the age of two months up to the age of 2.5 when they began daycare. I worked at my children's charter school as a playground monitor for kids ages K-8, and in a Montessori-style in-home daycare, before taking care of infants and toddlers in my home, mostly on a one-on-one basis. At times I have had two to three children at a time, a few days a week.
More about me...I love words, books, languages (though I only speak one and my French is very rusty!) as well as music. I also have a creative side and enjoy crafting and making things. I'm a Colorado native, grew up in Boulder and now live in Longmont. I love to travel and have travelled all over the United States, as well as been to Canada, Mexico, Europe and the United Kingdom. I haven't seen anywhere I'd rather live, except maybe England, than right here in Colorado!

Robyn was our son’s nanny from February 2021 to August 2022, which is only changing because it is time to send him to daycare to meet more children. He was 6 months at the start and is almost 2 now. She really provided a safe, loving and secure environment for our son. He has always loved being with her and they have a special bond. She cared for her son at our home and then also at her home - which is very safely set up for a young child. We absolutely trusted her with driving too, and some of her best qualities are how reliable and dependable she’s been. I’m a nurse practitioner and so the schedule I need to work can vary and also does not have a lot of flexibility, and she is incredibly timely and was able to accommodate our needs. I’m happy to be a reference for Robyn. We have known her now for 7 years and met when my first daughter was 1 and Robyn was a teacher at her preschool. Then she nannied my second daughter from the age of 3 months until she was 2.5 years old. She genuinely loved and cared for my daughter and she took such amazing care of her. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better person to be my stand-in for my child’s care. My second daughter also needed some physical therapy for motor skills and Robyn was supportive of practicing those skills with her at home and staying on top of that.
